Exercise Promotes Longevity

Medical researchers at Harvard and Standford Universities who studied the habits and health of 17,000 middle-aged and older men, reported the first scientific evidence that even modest exercise helps prolong life. Dr. Ralph S. Paffenberger, the visiting professor of epidemology at the Harvard School of Pubic Health, who is the principal author of the report said, “We have found a direct relationship between the level of physical activity and the length of life in the college men we have studied.” He added, “This is the first good evidence that people who are active and fit have a longer life span than those who are not.”

A strong connection between a hard and a healthy hard has also been convincingly
demonstrated in the same study. The study showed that the less active persons ran a three
times higher risk of suffering a fatal heart attack than did those who worked the hardest. Review
of fatal heart attacks revealed that the less active men were also three times more likely to die
unexpectedly and rapidly within an hour after the attack.

A parallel research report from doctors in Dulles also concluded, after a study of the lives and
habits of 6,000 men and women, that the physically fit were less likely to develop hypertension.

Dr. Steven N. Blair who headed the research group said, “We followed the physical health and
habits of these people for an average of four-and-a-half years and the data showed that the
lackof physical fitness leads to hypertension.”

Exercise increases calorie output. The body fat can be reduced by regular exercise. It is
therefore, useful for weight reduction in conjunction with restricted food intake. According to a
study by Dr. Peter Wood of Stanford University Medical School, author of “California Diet and Exercise Programme,” very active people eat about 600 more calories daily than their sedentary
counterparts but weight about 20 per cent less. Up to 15 hours after vigorous exercise, the body
continues to burn calories at a higher rate than it would have without exercise. Moderate
physical exercise has been found to be accompanied by less obesity and lower cholesterol
levels.

Regular exercise plays an important role in the fight against stress. It provides recreation and
mental relaxation besides keeping the body physically and mentally fit. It is nature’s best
tranquilliser.

Chronic fatigue caused by poor circulation can be remedied by undertaking some exercise on a
daily basis. It helps relieve tension and induces sleep. Moderate physical exercise at the end of
a try day can bring a degree of freshness and renewed energy.

Exercise also plays an important role in the treatment of depression. According to Dr. Robert
Brown, a clinical associate professor at the University of Virgina School of Medicine, “Exercise
produces chemical and psychological changes that improves your mental health. It changes the
levels of hormones in blood and may elevate your beta-endorphins (mood-affecting brain
chemicals). Exercise also gives a feeling of accomplishment and thereby reduces the sense of
helplessness.”

Flesh And Spirit - Will The War Never End?

There’s a war going on inside you between flesh and
spirit. Flesh and spirit are like two small
neighboring countries fighting against each other in
your mind; which is the world. Your thoughts are the
world’s most powerful country, they must decide who to
side with and how to destroy the enemy before they get
too powerful and take over the world, I mean your
mind.

The Works Of The Flesh

Romans 8:6 “For to be carnally minded is death; but to
be spiritually minded is life and peace”.

The word carnal has the meaning of or about the body
or flesh. For someone to live in the flesh they must
have a carnal mind with all the thoughts of the flesh.
This involves carnal appetites or cravings of the
flesh. It also involves self-ishness or motivation
based on personal needs and wants of the flesh.

Galatians 5:19-21 “Now the works of the flesh are
manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication,
uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft,
hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife,
seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness,
revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you
before, as I have also told you in time past, that
they which do such things shall not inherit the
kingdom of God.”

Have you ever felt like you could never be good enough
to please God, or that you’re too weak to give up any
of the sins above even though you know they’re against
God’s law? If so, then you may have experienced the
following.

You may have thought to fulfill God’s moral standards
you had to obey the law through your own human
ability. However, instead of receiving the joy of a
clean conscience, you felt enslaved to legalism and
guilt.

The Purpose Of Jesus

The law shows us that we are under the control of sin
and points us to Christ, the only one who can save us.

Romans 8:3-4 “For what the law could not do in that it
was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own
Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of
sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous
requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do
not walk according to the flesh but according to the
spirit”.

The Fruits Of The Spirit

Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness,
faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no
law.”

Fact is, your faith in God through Jesus Christ will
dictate whether you will crucify the flesh and walk in
the spirit or not.

Galatians 5:24 “And they that are Christ’s have
crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts”.

If you keep trying to overcome sin and addiction based
on your own human abilities then you’ll probably
stumble. This is because of your lack of dependence in
God through our lord and savior Jesus Christ.

But if you depend on God through faith in Jesus He can
and will make you whole. Jesus even said, “Watch and
pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit
indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak”. (Matthew
26:41).

And He also said, “…verily, verily, I say unto you,
whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, He will
give it you. (John 16:23).

See what I mean? All God wants is for you to depend on
Him by faith through Jesus Christ.

Therefore walking in the spirit is about improving
your faith in God through Jesus Christ. You can do
this by believing what He’s already done for you when
He died on the cross for your sins and raised Himself
from the dead after three days.

Don’t believe it because I said so, but because Jesus
Himself said, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide
in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be
done unto you”. (John 15:7).

In closing, if you’re not spending time with God and
improving your faith in Jesus Christ by listening to
and learning His Word, then you’re not walking in the
Spirit. So stay in His word and let the Holy spirit
guide your life in the way God wants you to live.

Get Cheap West End Theatre Tickets on the Web

London weekend breaks always seem like such a brilliant plan - to leave behind habits & habitats, watching something new; maybe listen to something unique. Nevertheless, without an aim, weekends away can now and again fall somewhat flat, a case of ambling around an enormous town, constantly going into retail shops and recognising statues. This could be good if you are happy to go with the flow, but if you enjoy being occupied and ‘doing’ something then West End musical breaks can be a marvellous option.

Even though you can endlessly go to Germany, why would you want to? There is lots of talent and entertainment much more nearer to you in the City. Famously, the City contains a selection of superb theatres, the majority of which are clustered in London’s West End - a place in which day to day life looks to become a little better & the whole lot turns out very well eventually; or at least if not, you can get lost in exciting moments and feel a considerably better human being.

But for comfy, merry amusement throughout a London show break nearly everyone people attend musicals. These can be anything from the heart-wrenching heartbreak for instance Les Misérables to the rollerblading pleasure that is undoubtedly Starlight Express. But admirers of rock & roll, doo-wap & men and girls in exceedingly tight black leather will only be interested in one show - Grease. Taking the universe by storm in the nineteen seventies, this iconic musical show has for no reason ceased to make an impact, transferring with consummate ease to the silver screen. Featuring an eye-catching John Travolta and a very thin Olivia Newton-John, the film went on to be listed for an Oscar. The Leicester Square Box Office sells cheap London theatre tickets, visit the website today.

A great many people will have a big space in their heart reserved for Grease, no matter how old they are, or indeed what sex. It is one of those inspiring movies that is enjoyed by different generations; equally the London musical is exciting for young and old alike. The ease & liveliness of Rydell High is catchy, the late 1950s clothes are so desirably retro, & the music songs are so catchy that you’ll be singing in your seats.

Three Stages of Soul

Jain Religion postulates three stages of the soul: (1) the external soul. (2) The internal soul and (3) the omniscient or liberated or supreme soul. The external soul is characterized by an aversion to the quest for truth. The internal soul is fully dedicated to the quest for truth. One who attains self-realization is a liberated soul. Supreme soul or paramatman. Lord Mahavira was a supreme soul. All those who are fully devoted to spirituality have the right to become supreme souls. Anyone who follows the spiritual practice that Mahavir preached and followed can like him become a liberated soul. This principle of attaining the status of a liberated soul transcends time, space and individuality. It is a universal principle.

Truth can be ascertained in two ways: scientific appraisal and popular estimate.

To know the ultimate nature of the reality of subtle truths. We use scientific appraisal. Popular estimate is used to know empirical truth. The form of religion exclusively based on scientific appraisal cannot take the place of a world religion. On the other hand a religious code of conduct based on empirical truths has the potentiality of becoming a world religion. The code of conduct comprising the vows enunciated by Mahavir is universal. That code can command wide acceptance from human beings living in any society.

Make Your Dreams Reachable

All too often, we may be envisioning a level of success, which is far beyond what we can realistically accept and thus fall short of full manifestation. However, if we can envision a period of time in which our success can gradually increase, quite often our subconscious can more easily accept it. However, allowing ourselves to get comfortably accustomed to a steadily increasing flow of abundance in our lives tends to stabilize it for us.

We’ve all heard stories about people who won the lottery and promptly lose it. This is a problem with acceptance. Simply, it was too much, too fast. It is far rarer to hear of someone who steadily and consistently increases his or her income losing it.

Because the subconscious mind has time to grow familiar with the experience of steadily increasing abundance, there is no need to sabotage the process. Another problem is the subconscious mind’s “believability factor.” It is far easier for the subconscious to swallow this new approach to success a small piece at a time. Allowing the process to occur in simple steps permits the Universe to cooperate solidly, with substance. This is because the subconscious can grasp the change more solidly and with greater substance.

Being gentle with yourself in your success work is very important in gaining success. Doing violence to your own inner logic accomplishes nothing. Stretch yourself of course, but allow it to be a natural growth process.

Can I Be A Christian And Believe In An Old Earth?

Yes, you can! There is no verse in the Bible which causes you to accept a young earth as the only answer. The Bible does not say, “Thou shalt believe in a young earth.” The fact is, no verse in the Bible makes any claims as to the age of the earth. All the so-called verses that young earth proponents point to can be interpreted by the reader to mean old or young. Also, the key doctrines of the Bible are not affected by either interpretation. Many young earth believers will claim that you cannot believe in an old earth and be a Christian. The reasons for this belief vary, but there are several overlying principles underneath this argument. Death, Disease Before Sin

The Bible teaches that death is the penalty for sin. The young earth proponent carries it one step further than the Bible teaches by adding their own belief that there was no physical death before sin. However, when Adam and Eve sinned, spiritual death was introduced, not physical death. This mistaken belief is due to a misinterpretation of the Bible.

Why do they misinterpret this key fact? Let’s look at the key verses. Genesis 1:29-31 “And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, where-in there is life, I have given every green herb for meat; and it was so. 31And God saw every thing that He had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.” Romans 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” Yes, Adam introduced death. However, he did not introduce physical death…only spiritual death. Consider these key points: 1. God said creation was “very good” (Gen 1:31). Young earth proponents claim it can’t be “very good” if it contained disease and death. They fail to realize that God created a thriving, renewing ecosystem. Death and regeneration are crucial to the working of God’s creation. If it were not self-renewing, it would not last very long, and then God’s creation would indeed not be “very good.” 2. The Bible says that God gave the green plants to all animals to eat. Young earth proponents claim that since the animals ate grass, there was no death due to carnivorous activity. Two points. First, the Bible does not say that animals “cannot” eat meat…it only says they were given grass to eat. Second, this was the condition of the Garden of Eden, which was different from the world outside the garden. Inside the Garden there was perfection and peace, but outside it was different. 3. Spiders are wondrous creatures. They spin their silk webs in order to ensnare their victims before consuming them. How would they have survived in a pre-death world? Would their webs have been used to catch falling leaves? No, they could just simply go into a tree, or to the ground, to feast on the leaves. Spiders were created with only one diet in mind…a dead insect.

Also, why were some spiders created with poison? What is the purpose of this poison? They didn’t need to poison the leaves, or whatever else they were supposed to eat in the Garden. And, it could not have been for self-defense, since there were no predators in the Garden? In fact, the same thing goes for poisonous snakes. Poison only has one purpose…to kill. Even poisons that incapacitate are for the same thing in the end, for once the creature is incapacitated, it is consumed.

The only logical conclusion is that God created poison to kill. Poison serves no purpose in a calm, friendly Garden with no death. If God did create poison, according to the young earth model, then His creation was not perfect, as the poison served no purpose. 4. It is obvious that these passages mean spiritual death, not physical. Here’s a simple logical answer…when Adam ate the forbidden fruit, he entered into spiritual death…he did not physically die when he bit the fruit. We know this because he had children with Eve after he ate the fruit. Adam did not introduce physical death, but spiritual death (see the blue text box above). In fact, if you read Satan’s dialogue with Eve, then you will see the answer plain as day. He told Eve she would not die, but would become knowledgeable. Satan knew that he would be introducing spiritual death to the world. How else was Satan to prevent people from following God…killing them physically did not end their spiritual relationship with God. By introducing spiritual death, Satan knew he could prevent people from worshiping God. 5. Young earth proponents claim that sin and suffering entered the world after the Fall of Man. They claim that disease is a result of sin. However, what is disease? It is sickness caused by viruses, bacteria, etc. Did these microorganisms exist before the fall of man? If you listen to young earth proponents, they could not have existed before the fall. However, they had to. To imply that they came about as a result of the fall of man, is to imply that God created them after Adam sinned. But, since God is in His seventh day of rest, and the creation is already 100% complete, he could not have created them after the fall. They had to be created sometime during the six days of creation.

Here is conclusive proof that bacteria existed before the fall. How do we know this? Because Adam and Eve were normal human beings, and as human beings, they required the aid of bacteria for the breakdown of foods in the human digestive tract. Right now, as you read this, millions of bacteria cells are in your colon, breaking down your foods into waste products. (Perhaps the young-earth proponents will argue that the bacteria and viruses we have today mutated from this original bacteria source. There response would be interesting). 6. The rock record, through its fossils, indicates that death existed for millions of years. By young earth models, all fossil-bearing rock layers must be laid down after the fall of man. The mechanism they point to is the Flood of Noah. However, the flood has been shown to be scientifically impossible. Bottom line…if the Flood can’t do it, then there must have been physical death before sin. There is absolutely no sound reason for not believing there was death before the Fall of Man. What is Time? The other major stumbling block for young earth objections is time. Here we will examine two concepts; first is God and time, and second, a weak God. Nowhere in the Bible does it teach that the earth is young. The Bible does not say “the earth is 6,000 years old.” Nor does it say “the earth is 4.5 billion years old.” The fact is, the Bible makes no claims as to the age of the earth. We must interpret the age of the earth from science and the Bible.

Young earther’s will make a defense of the “days” of creation being literal 24-hour days. The truth is, there is no claim in the Bible that states the length of these days. The “day” as we know it didn’t even begin until the fourth day of creation, when the sun and the moon were created (according to young-earth interpretations). The saying I like to use is, “If you are God, and you are in outer space, a million miles away from any stars or planets, then how do you mark the passage of time? As God, you do not sleep, you do not need rest, therefore time has no meaning.” When we get to heaven, we will spend eternity there. Are we going to have clocks in heaven? Wow, there goes another million years! It won’t matter to us, just like it doesn’t matter to God.

Should finite man limit infinite God to a twenty-four hour day? It is finite man that has imposed his interpretation of the word “day” onto an infinite God. Well, our rules of time don’t apply to an infinite, everlasting being. Just look at the creation. God rested on the seventh day. In fact, he is still resting, and we are still in the seventh day! If this day has lasted for over 6,000 years, then who are we to impose time limits on the other days of creation? The use of the word day is just so that man can have some type of framework to understand creation, and does not imply 24-hour days.

The Bible says in II Peter 3:8, “…that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” God does not see time the same way we do! To him, one second could be a million years. Therefore, no matter what the interpretation is of the original Hebrew for the word “day,” it does not apply to an infinite God. The early church fathers, including Justin Martyr, believed the days of creation were a thousand years long. Literal days were not even considered until the fourth century, and it did not become a major theologic issue until the 19th century.

One more point to ponder. Old-earth creationists say the earth is 4.5 billion years old. Was God here 4.5 billion years ago? Obviously, the answer has to be yes. Think about it. Our second major concept concerning time is a weak God. One of the claims by young-earth creationists is that the old-earth theory waters down, or weakens, Gods powers, by in effect saying that if God could not create the earth in six days, then he must not be as powerful as the Omnipotent God of the young earth believer.

Here again, simple logic will prevail. It doesn’t matter how long the period of creation is, God’s power is beyond comprehension, beyond anyone else’s capabilities, and He remains omnipotent no matter how long creation lasted. I could say “An all powerful God could have created the world in six seconds. Why did it take him six days…he must be weak.” This obviously is not true.

To prove this, here is the simple argument. I challenge any young-earth creationist to do this…starting right now, I challenge you to create a brand new world, complete with new plant and animal species, complete with a thriving ecosystem, complete with coal beds, fossils, oceans, etc. And, I’ll even be generous and give you 10 billion years to do it. Can you do it? Of course not. But the all-powerful, omnipotent God that we worship can, and did do it.

Could He have done it in six days? Sure, if He wanted to. If He wanted to, He could have done it in 6 seconds. Is the God of the six-day creation weaker because He didn’t do it in 6 seconds? Of course not. Conclusion What then are we to conclude? Spiritual death, with the eternal possibilities of heaven and hell, began with Adam and Eve. They were the first humans to have this option. But physical death has been here long before Adam ever walked the earth.

Concerning age, the creation itself testifies to its age. Job 12:8 says “Speak to the earth, and it will teach you.” Fortunately, none of the objections of young earth proponents carries any weight. You can be 100% confident that you can be a Christian, and believe in an old earth.

Russia and Her Allies Will Attack Israel

This next event will be a major one! The Bible says that in the latter days, Russia and what appears to be Iran, Libya, Turkey and possibly Sudan will descend upon Israel and try to destroy her.

Israel will have no chance to win against this large army that will attempt to come against her. However, as you will see in the Scripture verse listed below, God the Father will come to her rescue and will literally wipe this army off the face of the earth. Here are the basic facts and Scripture verses that will tell you exactly what is going to happen with this awesome event.

1. The word “Gog” as will be mentioned in the Scripture verse below has been determined by many Bible historians to be referring to what is now the country of Russia.

The other strange names that you will see listed below have been determined to be Iran, Libya, Turkey and possibly Poland and Sudan. All of these countries will be joining forces with Russia to try and destroy Israel. You already know that most of the Arab nations hate Israel and would love nothing better than to have a chance to wipe her out.

2. When reading the Scripture verses listed below, you will notice that it appears to be God the Father who is the One who will be pulling Russia and her allies out to come against His chosen people. The Bible says:

“I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws and lead you out.”

3. The Bible says that Israel will be dwelling safely in her land when this event happens - so this cannot be occurring at the midpoint of the Tribulation. It has to occur sometime before the midpoint. The Jews will not be living in peace and safety during the midpoint of the Tribulation because the Antichrist will be starting to massacre them once he sits himself in their temple proclaiming himself to be God.

The Bible says that after God destroys this army that will come against Israel, that it will take seven months to bury the dead and 7 years to burn all of their weapons left on the battlefield. If it is going to take 7 years to burn their weapons, this event will probably occur at least 7 years if not longer before the midpoint of the Tribulation to give the Jewish people that amount of time to be able to complete this kind of task. Remember, in the first half of the Tribulation, the Antichrist will make establish some kind of peace treaty with Israel -which may help explain how Israel could be in any kind of peace as described in the Scripture verse below.

4. How does God destroy this army coming against His people? He will do it in 6 ways. This will be the wrath of God coming into full manifestation against this invading army! God will be releasing the following judgments against this army:

  • A great earthquake
  • Pestilence, disease and bloodshed
  • A torrent of flooding rain
  • Great hailstones
  • Will pour down fire and brimstone
  • This army will then be so decimated by all of the above judgments, that they will then start fighting and killing on another - probably in an effort to get away from all of this which they will not be able to do.

The Bible says that God will have “FURY IN HIS FACE” and that He will render all of the above judgments because of the JEALOUSY FOR HIS OWN PEOPLE. His fury and jealousy in seeing this army try to come against His chosen people will cause Him to release His Wrath against them in full force.

The release of His wrath will be so powerful when He releases these specific judgments against this invading army - that the Bible says that all the creatures and all of the people on this earth will be shaking at His presence.

I believe God is making a powerful statement to the rest of the world with this event. The Scripture verse listed below says that God will magnify Himself and that all of the nations of the world will know that He is the Lord after all of these events unfold!

I believe that this one event alone will cause a lot of people to get saved. It will be so supernatural in its outcome, that people will be looking for answers - and if the Church has not been raptured at this point, Christians will be able to provide answers to the rest of the world as to what just happened and how it all was prophesied to occur back in the Old Testament.

The Scripture Verse

1. Here is the main verse that very clearly and very graphically describes this incredible event. This verse is out of Ezekiel in the Old Testament.

“Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, set your face against Gog, the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meschech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him,” and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God; “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meschech, and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords. Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them with shield and helmet … After many days you will be visited.

In the LATTER YEARS you will come back into the land of those brought back from sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely. You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many peoples with you.”

Thus says the Lord God: “On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan: you will say, ‘I will go against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, to take plunder and to take booty, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land …’

Thus says the Lord God: “On that day when My people Israel dwell safely, will you not know it? Then you will come from your place out of the far north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great company and a mighty army. You will come against My people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land.

It will be in the latter days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me, when I am hallowed on you O Gog, before their eyes …”

“And it will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” says the Lord God,
“That My fury will show in My face. For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken: ‘Surely in that day there will be a great earthquake in the land of Israel, so that the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all creeping things that creep on the earth, and all men who are on the face of the earth shall shake at My presence.

The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.’

“I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountain,” says the Lord God, “Every man’s sword will be against his brother.
And I will bring him to judgment with pestilence and bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire and brimstone.

Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.” (Ezekiel 38:1-23)

2. Now here is the verse that says that it will take 7 months to bury the dead after God personally destroys this invading army and 7 years to burn all of their weapons that are still left on the battlefield.

“Then those who dwell in the cities of Israel will go out and set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and bucklers, the bows and arrows, the javelin and spears, and they will make fires with them for seven years … It will come to pass in that day that I will give Gog a burial place there in Israel … for seven months the house of Israel will be burying them, in order to cleanse the land. Indeed all the people of the land will be burying them, and they will gain renown for it on the day that I am glorified,” says the Lord God. (Ezekiel 39:9-13)

Conclusion

Just imagine all of the above events captured on our TV sets. The whole world is going to see the aftermath of God’s wrath on this invading army. If the Church is not raptured before this incredible event occurs, a lot of people will be looking to Christians for some of the answers to this event. By the time this event does occur, many Christians will have knowledge on all of these end time events. We will then be able to show others who are not saved how this entire event was already foretold to happen in the Old Testament.

This one event alone will help prove to others the existence of our God, that He is real and that the Bible is the one and only true Word of God. God will be making a very powerful statement to the rest of the world through this one main event in an effort to try and get as many people saved as He possibly can before things really start to heat up with all of the events that will be occurring in the Great Tribulation.

Russia and all the Arab nations surrounding Israel need to be watched very closely in the coming years. Do you even wonder why so much time and attention is being focused on Israel and all of their “battles” with their Arab neighbors? That is because God is purposely focusing the world’s attention on Israel due to the prominent position she will be playing in all of these end time events.
We have a lot to look forward to in the coming years as world events slowly start to take the shape and form as prophesied out of the Bible.

Training Ahead of Touring Betters Performance and Helps Prevent Falls

Each year it’s the unvaried narrative. Despite jogging to the workplace, and an infrequent hike, each winter season begins enduring those torture some 1st few trips in which one is forgotten in the wake of more virile and faster snowboarding buddies.

Being in bad shape whilst touring it is unenjoyable, and may be out and out dangerous. To descend one requires some extra reserves. A tired boarder is likely to have skiing injuries and weariness could be a contributory factor to incidents, such as trips and crevasse falls.

Surely there’s a easier manner to kickoff the winter, and a newly released 302 page account by Chris Jones, who has previously penned Geneva to Chamonix - A Walker’s Guide, looks to provide a solution. Whilst aimed at mountaineers the info is largely practical to ski touring, with its arduous scrambles in addition to other hobbies.

Climbing, training for best performance is highly researched and easy to read. It’s a good all-round guide that gathers some good info. You may evolve a precise training regime or tune your existing one. Afforded that it’s written for climbers, therefore some of the techniques maybe unsuitable for skiing, it’s by all odds a guide to buy if you want to do several of the long 24 hour or multi-day routes.

Jesus and the Gnostic Cathars

“Historical Jesus research is becoming something of a scholarly bad joke. There were always historians who said it could not be done because of historical problems. There were always theologians who said it should not be done because of theological objections. And there were always scholars who said the former when they meant the latter.” (1) These words from De Paul University’s John Dominic Crossan might not make headline news but they are important insights to the ‘historical problems’ and ‘theological objections’ which still cause war and conflict or prejudices to the present day. Those things are the stuff of headlines still emanating from the land so full of holes due to things like the Holy of the Holies in that disgusting Holy Land! We must discover why little is done to elucidate the arts of social engineers known as ‘experts’ in history, theology and journalism. Pardon my passion - but it disturbs me greatly to see all human and other sentient life so enslaved by this Holy conflagration. We can be so much more - if we would DO as Jesus and other desposyni did. There are despots in these groups of the Merovingian or family of Jesus however.

I hope my positive portrayal of the knowledge systems historically represented herein will allow people to understand the uses and abuses of the life of Jesus by those who continue to empower themselves rather than enable the soul ‘within’. Collectively the soul of good people can overthrow the ‘radical aristocratic’ or Neo-Platonic top-down oligarchy. We must create! What we create is the work of the Creator.

Leo Strauss and his students still run the US policy of our present day. Lincoln was another of the ‘beneficent paternalists’ who thought we could not understand what really was best for us. Here are a few words from Thomas J. Di Lorenzo in an article titled ‘Leo Lincoln’. “Lincoln’s cynical political manipulation of religion was the perfect Straussian subterfuge. It was the perfect propaganda tool for sugarcoating a bloody and imperialistic war of conquest. Little wonder that contemporary Straussian neocons think of Lincoln as ‘the greatest statesman in world history’: He was an extreme nationalist; an enemy of constitutionally limited government and genuine natural rights; a skilled political conniver, manipulator and deceiver; and a phony religionist. Perfect.”

I hope I am not guilty of projecting my own life or beliefs (if I have any) onto the Cathari Gnostics and far more ancient peoples of shamanic background, who developed the disciplines which Jesus and his kin learned for many millennia. Will HIS - story play a role in ‘his’ - story? I refer to this 5,000 year ‘nightmare’ which Joseph Campbell quotes James Joyce talking about when he did the foreword to Marija Gimbutas’ Language of the Goddess.
The War on Women is a large part of what must be addressed. History is a poor teacher if you do not study to separate the motives and means from the lives lost in often aggrandized hero worship or cultish national - ‘isms’. I guess it would be hard for me or anyone not to have a bias of some sort but I think I am more ‘open’ than most.

Crossan is a well established or connected academic with a lot of support from top Bible scholars and the mainstream theological community. But don’t expect them to start encouraging actual education of what Jesus studied any time soon. I think you will see that I come from the Tradition which the family of Jesus and Solomon were part of, for a long and illustrious history.

My purpose is not to justify or simply revise our image of the ancients and what knowledge has been lost. The peasant or plebe must become aware enough to see we are able to fight City Hall. WE must learn to make history and change the ethic of our leaders. If not - history will repeat, like cucumbers on a sour stomach. Thomas Carney or Marshall McLuhan and many others have made it clear that we are ‘managed’; but McLuhan was unable to get the truth out when he wrote his books according to his recent biographer who says McLuhan knew the secret societies that are ‘behind the scenes’ and own the media. Plato is just one of many who observed that the advent of the writing alphabet which the Phoenicians gave their colonies or trading partners actually led to a decrease in knowledge and disciplined wisdom. So whether or not Jesus was a writer has little to do with his wisdom. Whether he was a peasant or a prince, he was not going to learn wisdom without effort and introspection. Here is an entry from my Heroes and Villains Volume in an Encyclopedia:

“PLATO: - This man is as important to you as Jesus, and both of them have the same legend of Immaculate Conception associated with them. I can prove the Greek’s Danaus colonizers are the DN or DNN of Homer. They became the Semites in Anatolia too; and it is acknowledged that Plato is the descendant of Solon. I can show Ptolemy trying to make himself historically part of the De Danaan hero family of Hercules through the works of Manetho and it may be true - who knows? The study of these two men whose noble lineage seems related through more than just the legend of Immaculate Conception; as Moses and Sargon the Great (a millennium earlier than Moses/Akhenaten) are related with the baby in the basket amongst the bulrushes, is of utmost importance. History may in fact be the most powerful tool to form the actions of the masses or society as a whole.

Throughout the many books I have written about the Hyksos Phoenician Kelts or the esoteric Mystery Schools associated with them, there is documentation of the growth of hierarchy and power or greed. The conflicts may have been part of the Jesus story. Who knows if the sage or alchemist named Plato really believed everything he wrote. How much was he advised or instructed to write? I am near to certain he knew his Atlantis story was a pure fiction designed to cover up the earlier model culture based upon egalitarian ethics with women in an equal if not preferred position. Jesus was probably named after (though his given name Yeshua is not) the concept of Brotherhood called Iesa, as linguists can demonstrate.

There certainly was a Brotherhood of Man ethic but it may have never achieved the kind of harmony in society which is now necessary to overcome the inequities and hierarchial threats posed by excessive Neo-Platonic manipulation. Clearly there were some attempts by the wise Solon to protect the rights of women and yet by Plato’s time this ethic had not a shred of support left to be seen. Why did this insecure macho ethic evolve in the Mediterranean world to this degree? Just five centuries before Plato we see his fellow nobles in Tyre are allowing a favored descendant of Jezebel to found Carthage in 814 BCE. How much can we blame poor Plato for all the hierarchy anyway? He just wrote the rationale for what all these nobles or elites saw as the proper way to structure this society.

Jesus may have been a zealot seeking to establish a country or kingdom like David (his ancestor) or he may have harkened back to a time when Brotherhood existed, as most Cynics really saw must happen. Seneca and all the other rich or poor Cynics clearly saw man must think and learn for himself, or else things would continue to grow ever more class and racially differentiated. I think Jesus had the Gnostic training of ecumenism and was not into the Kingdom of Israel zealotry as much as he was against Rome and Empire in general, even if he was a zealot at some point in his life. I also think Plato was no where near as elitist or Fascist as his succeeding philosophic school up to Hegel and Fukayama today have become. In fact I think Plato would have preferred universal education and enablement of citizens as the foundation for his Republic. But let’s be real! Even today it is hard to find interested and open-minded ‘thinkers’.”

Easy answers sought to explain what humanity has feared or regarded through superstition as gods are not the kind of things that allowed adepts to know themselves and their soul. The structures of power and priestly prevarications are rife even in the halls of supposed fair and academic institutions. Pardon me for disagreeing with the likes of Fukayama and others who would have us believe in ‘absolute’ religions of any form. As a human with the ability to consciously apprehend his or her environment; we must all eschew these black and white answers that our education has expected us to regurgitate in order to get better grades.

I have attempted to open a window to view what is called PRE-history. Just before the era I focus upon in this book there was a city in Anatolia or present day Turkey before the Black Sea was created. Jacquetta Hawkes called it ‘precociously’ modern or advanced in her Atlas of Archaeology. This might easily be less advanced than the cities that were inundated in 5500 BC alongside the freshwater lake that we are now able to reach under the Black Sea. That area is central to what became the Iberian corporate ventures or the Phoenician Brotherhood. There is a great deal we do not know and may never know about the things known to ancient people and where we came from. Hopefully you will find your own creative juices flow as you travel this high road of speculative Imagineering based on current archaeology rather than accept the tenured propaganda of past history as written by and for Empire-builders.

Whether or not there was a town with a well, and that town was called Nazareth in the time Yeshua bar Joseph lived on earth, is really less material or important than the people and the things they may have learned. I do believe the family of Jesus has made a great deal of good inputs to humanity over time. I think he and they deserve our respect as well as our genuine fear of elitism or the power motives they have exhibited. There are no ‘easy’ answers and the most we can do is hope to improve our lot by learning from our shared past or history. Learning about more than mere dates and names is required. I do honor the memory of those burned at the stake and there will be times you might find my invective a little over the top - please excuse me if I offend any of your gentler sensitivities. Just remember the genocide of the Cathar ‘parfaits’ as they walked arm in arm with their children into the fires set for them by the Dominican ‘Hounds of Hell’.

We can (!) re-distribute the ego’s needs for honor that lead to the structures of Mediterranean patronage or cronyism. We do not need to read good anthropologists like John Davis in order to know what still runs everything around us. Please do not simply respond to my effort as if I am a mere and simple ‘conspiracy theorist’. Those who call me that kind of thing are often weak-willed sycophants or just the thing people see when they look in the mirror; if they have not studied what is possible and why things are the way they are. Put another way - in the words of the scholar Peristiany: “The punctiliousness of honour must be referred to the code of an exclusive and agonistic microsociety; that of honesty to an inclusive, egalitarian macrosociety.” Let us work together and end this ideology of gloom that insists humans can be no more than the ‘beast with red cheeks’ or some other object Machiavellians and politicos merely ‘manage’ as if we are ‘money-trees’.

It should be obvious that the ’spin’ I will put to the facts exists just as it does with any other writer. You may consider me a Utopian in the typology of Bryan Wilson or as one who “… ‘presumes’ some divinely given principles ‘of reconstruction,… more radical than the reformist alternative, but unlike the revolutionist option, insists much more on the role human beings must take in the process’…” (2)

From an interview by Bill Moyers with the scholar Paul Woodruff of the University of Texas on NOW, we have a little of the ancient understanding of ‘representative deities’ and the forces in reality they knew they could not fully capture, and were in awe of the beauty therein.
“PAUL WOODRUFF: Yeah. When people are powerful, they– they tend to fall into habits of acting as if they were divine. The– the cliché, of course, is power corrupts. But what– what the Greeks are noticing is that it corrupts in a very particular way. You think that you can’t go wrong. You think that you can’t be mistaken. You think that because you are not likely to be mistaken, you don’t have to listen to other people. And those are all signs of tyranny and they’re all signs of hubris. They all indicate a lack of– of - of respect for the difference between human beings and– and gods, which is the essence of reverence.
BILL MOYERS: So reverence is something other than the worship of God.
PAUL WOODRUFF: On my view, yes. And this came to me as a surprise, actually, because I had always been taught that for ancient peoples, reverence was sacrificing the appropriate number of goats or sheep or cattle or chickens or whatever so that the plague will be averted or we won’t have an earthquake next year or whatever. What people have called “do a deus,” “I give to the god, the god will give back to me.”

Then I– but as I– as I tried to translate this term and understand what it meant and why it was so important to the tragic poets like Sophocles, I realized that had nothing to do with it. Oedipus and the other tyrants are not in trouble because they didn’t sacrifice enough chickens. It didn’t have anything to do with that. It was about their attitude towards themselves and their– their failure to realize that they were not truly godlike.” (3)

I have not read a lot of Alan Watts, because people have always told me I sound like him. I promise that even if you think that someone sounds like you or thinks as you do - this is one book that will challenge many things that we all must question. Here is one of many things said by Watts which I agree with.

“Faith is an openness and trusting attitude to truth and reality, whatever it may turn out to be. This is a risky and adventurous state of mind. Belief in the religious sense, is the opposite of faith - because it is a fervent wishing or hope, a compulsive clinging to the idea that the universe is arranged and governed in such and such a way. Belief is holding to a rock; faith is learning how to swim - and this whole universe swims in boundless space.” - Alan Watts
