Get Your E-Book to Your Customers

Well, you’ve finished writing and editing your e-book, so now it’s time to sell it. And when you sell it, you have to get it to your readers as quickly as possible.

Much of the attraction of e-books is that they can be bought and received instantly. There is (or should be) no shipping delay. Within minutes of reading your great sales copy, someone should be able to purchase and download your e-book on the spot.

If your business is not set up for e-commerce, someone else who is set up for it will get your sale. If you think you can just wait to get an e-mail order and reply with your e-book as an attachment, then you just don’t get it. So forget completely about taking phone orders or fax orders for your e-books.

Instant e-book delivery is the way to go. Not only is the customer a happier customer because your e-book can be delivered on the spot, but you save yourself printing, shipping, and postage costs.

To deliver your e-book on the spot, you will need to set up your business for e-commerce. This means you need a shopping cart. I use Kick Start Cart (http://www.KickStartCart.com) to sign up for your own account or to get more information about this great system. You can also get a free e-book on how to choose a good shopping cart and delivery system by visiting the following website: http://HowtoUseaShoppingCart.com

As a bonus, when you have your shopping system established and it’s ready to go, you can use it on an infinite number of websites, to sell an infinite variety of e-books. The more sites you configure with your shopping system, the cheaper your costs are per site.

You should know that you can sign-up with services that will sell your e-books for you, but the smart money is on using a one-stop shopping system on your own sites. You can configure them easily to deliver your e-book and you can start pulling in sales and giving customers what they want, when they want it.

Leadership Lessons from a Pitching Coach

In 2003, like many Chicagoans, I was nearly glued to the television in
September and October watching the Cubs baseball team during
the play-offs. As a die-hard Cubs fan and suburban north-sider,
I would naturally cheer for my team, no matter how far they
went in the series.

The team had been transformed over the previous few years due to a
combination of things, great leadership being one of them.

During a game in early October, the Cub’s pitching coach went
out to the mound to talk with pitcher Mark Prior. One of the
commentators said, “He is one of the best pitching coaches,
if not the best.” Another commentator asked why he thought that.
He responded, “Because he not only knows about the technical
aspects of pitching. He also gets to know you as a person:
what makes you tick, what makes you work well or not work well.
He gets to know your family.”

This commentator acknowledged good coaching in baseball as
coaching from someone who coaches a player in more than just the
technical areas of pro baseball. Life affects the whole person.
This great pitching coach is acknowledged as great by current
and former players because he knows how to turn average pitchers
into great pitchers, and he utilizes more than just technical
drills. He moves and motivates players to excellence by getting
into their mind, their emotions, and what is important to them,
without being intrusive.

It’s the same way in business. If I, as a coach, only stick to
subjects with clients that involve their business, I could be
missing something. Not that I delve into peoples’ non-business-
private-lives. No, those of you who’ve known me for a while are
aware that I don’t tend to delve there. Understanding what makes
people tick (and how they work well vs. how they don’t work well),
however, can lead to “people data” that affects business and work.
If, like that pitching coach, I can get to know a client beyond
“technical pitching”, I can really help him or her achieve greater
goals (like Cubs pitchers who usher their team to a greater
place than I’ve ever seen them go in my lifetime).

If we translate the pitching coach/pitcher relationship to that of boss/employee, a lot of the same principles apply as well.
Getting to know your employees: what makes them tick, what makes
them work well or not work well, and, if appropriate, getting to
know their family (or, know about their family) goes a long way
toward motivation-to-excellence, in addition to coaching and
leading in technical skills. This type of leadership can turn
average workers into great workers.

Laminate Hardwood Flooring - What Is It And Why Is It So Popular?

Laminate hardwood flooring is very versatile flooring that gives the appearance of having hardwood flooring without the expensive price tag. Although laminate flooring does look like hardwood, it is not made of solid wood. It is called engineered hardwood because it is made from several materials bonded together under extremely high pressure. It is easy to lay and care for and when you step on it, it is almost like you are floating. This is why laminate hardwood flooring is also called a floating floor.

You can learn how to lay laminate flooring very quickly. Once you see the first few planks of the flooring going together, you can complete the rest of the job on your own. You can install Quick Step laminate flooring on just about any room of your home. However, it is not recommended for use in bathrooms, mudrooms or any other room where there could be an excess of moisture. The extra water could damage the flooring meaning you would have to remove and replace one or two planks of the laminate flooring.

If you are looking at how easy it is to learn how to lay laminate flooring, you will also learn about the advantages of Quick Step laminate flooring. In contrast to solid hardwood, laminate hardwood flooring is about half the cost. It is easy to install and there is no finish or refinish to worry about. Installing laminate flooring doesn’t need any nails, but you can choose to glue it to the subfloor. Another advantage of laminate flooring is that you can lay it down on virtually any type of surface, except, of course, carpet. It is suitable for installing on top of concrete, wood or vinyl. All you have to do is to make sure the floor underneath is level before you start to lay the planks.

When you ask the flooring retailer about how to lay laminate flooring, you will get several different instructions about how to prepare the floor beforehand. You do have to make sure the surfaces is free of any dust or small pieces of dirt that might work their way up through the laminate hardwood flooring. You also have to check to make sure the subfloor is soundproof and that it is level. Often people who have installed the Quick Step laminate flooring report that there are squeaks when they step on it. This is not the fault of the laminate flooring, but because the floor under it was not properly levelled before they started to lay the planks.

You do have to take extra care when you install laminate hardwood flooring over radiant heating. You have to read both the instructions for how to lay laminate flooring and the instructions regarding the radiant heat before you start. When you plan to lay laminate hardwood flooring in your home, you don’t have to open the packages until you are ready to start.

Discover the Growth of HD Tellies

Television or TV as we condense it to is a commonly used communications resource for conveying and receiving moving pictures and audio, or as we more formerly know it as, TV series. Commercially obtainable ever since the 1930’s the telly set has developed into being a universally used domestic connections machine in homes and businesses, largely as a source of entertainment & information. Ever since the nineteen-seventies video recording on VCR tapes & later, digital playback systems like that of DVDs have given the ability for the TV to be used to watch taped language programmes & other channels.

Television devices are assembled out of many components, so a television screen that lacks an interior tuner to get the broadcast signals is named a monitor instead of a television. Since the future is here, TV’s have improved on to some extent & technology has advanced, televisions at this time are put together to collect various television broadcasts or video formats, similar to that of high definition TVs generally referred to as HDTV. Near the beginning when High Definition Tellies were first put on sale they were dear, although, at the moment it is possible to pickup economical televisions from most places. For example a thirty-seven inch plasma telly may perhaps of a long time ago have set you back £1,000 it is in our day probable to find one up for a great deal lower than this, you will spot that several LCD widescreens televisions have reduced a long way in cost when weighed to several years ago. If you are looking for bargain televisions then why not visit the Digital Direct website.

There are two kinds of television at the moment, plasma & LCD both are some what incredibly similar however, some what exceptionally unrelated at the same time. Plasma is a breed of flat panel screen that you will more often than not only notice on big telly screens, which effectively implies that you will not spot plasma in something smaller than a thirty seven inch. Plasma screens in there primary shape are just gas cylinders. You then have LCD displays that you can pick-up in many dimensions & they can what’s more be used as computer monitors.

Bad Credit Mortgage Allowance for Your Loan

When applying for a mortgage your credit history is important to determine the type of mortgage you qualify for. If your credit history reflects slow payments, legal judgments, or even bankruptcy, there are alternative lending programs that can give you a new financial start. This is where bad credit mortgage comes in.

If you have poor credit, the issuing bank will not be prepared to offer you a mortgage. There are many specialist lenders who will consider lending to you, even if you have examples of credit history errors, defaults or even bankruptcy in the past. With bad credit mortgages you tend to pay more than someone with good credit as the lender will see it as a larger risk to lend money.

If you qualify for a bad credit mortgage or adverse credit mortgage for three years and have managed to meet the repayment schedule in a timely manner, you may be able to be considered having a nee credit history. You will want to seek a mortgage loan adviser for specific details with your particular case. As each type of bad credit mortgage will vary from person to person. When considering what type of lender to go through.

With bad credit, purchasing a home need not cause despair. There are lenders who specialize in bad credit lending. The same stringent guidelines are not used as traditional banks and credit unions. Typically, these lenders are known as sub-prime lenders.

Stockbroker Career

So you think you might want to be a stockbroker?

Perhaps the most popular area of the investment industry is that of a stockbroker. Although some of you might think that breaking into the business is difficult, but it actually is pretty easy. That of course depends somewhat on where you would be willing to work and what you would be dealing in. If you are a young person out of high school or college and can accept less guaranteed money for the potential to make a lot, then the options are limitless. Unlimited income and freedom to control your destiny.

Sound to good to be true? Maybe, but the fact is many people have changed their lives by becoming a Stockbroker or any Investment Professional. Brokerage firms that pay their brokers mostly on commission are always hiring. The idea that an unlicensed or inexperienced person will not be able to find a lot of openings is false. The risk that a stock brokerage firm takes when hiring new brokers in minimal.

A stock firm does not pay much in salary. $250-$500 weekly during training is the average. So, if a firm hires someone at $350 a week, the upside to the firm is high. You have to consider the initial loss of income when entering this business. If you are 20 years old, you might not consider that pay in the beginning as that low. Older workers with more personal and financial responsibilities have to consider it a little more.

Finding a job with a firm in this industry is different from others. Your choices are broad and the way you go about it can enhance your chances. Don’t just look for job ads in the newspaper or the Internet. Call up the firms themselves and inquire about openings even if they are not advertising. Look in your local phone book and call them. You may have an office of a terrific firm in your town that might hire you. Do not ask the receptionist if they are hiring. Ask to speak to the Sales Manager in particular. The Sales Manager of a firm is paid largely on the production of the brokers he’s managing. So, if you sound eager enough and come across well on the phone, I guarantee he will at least take your name and give it consideration if not bring you in that same day!

The Series 7 and the Series 63 licenses will be required before you can begin working with customers. Your firm will sponsor you for those exams. Other licenses may be needed depending on the firm and the securities they deal in.

Not an easy job for sure. It will take long hours, the ability and willingness to cold call effectively, and the drive to be the best. Only then, will you earn your worth.

Good Luck!

Can The GI Diet Help You Lose Weight?

The GI diet, based on the Glycemic Index, has recently
become very popular, but the GI ranking system has been around
since 1981. There have been several books published on the
success of the GI diet, but is it really a diet or a lifestyle
change?

The glycemic index

Dr. David Jenkins, from the University of Toronto in Canada,
developed the glycemic index to measure the speed at which foods
break down in the body to produce glucose. While originally
intended to help diabetic patients control their glucose levels,
it was soon used to help individuals trying to lose weight to
control their eating habits and hunger. The key was to decrease
the fast breakdown of foods into glucose. Glucose is the natural
source of energy for the body. It produces a rush of energy when
the food is broken down, and then when it is burned up, it
leaves a feeling of hunger and fatigue.

Depending on how fast they elevate the blood sugar level after
eating, foods are considered high, medium and low GI foods. Low
GI foods rank less than 55 on the glycemic index scale, medium
GI foods go from 55 to 70 and high GI foods rank higher than 70.
High GI foods break down very quickly in the body and make you
feel hungry again soon after consuming them. Low GI foods are
slowly digested and absorbed so you feel fuller for a longer
period of time after you eat.

High GI foods include:

* white flour products like white bread, croissants, doughnuts;
* heavily processed foods like corn chips, potato chips or
pretzels;

* foods high in sugar like cookies, rice krispies, ice cream;

* high starch vegetables such as potatoes and parsnips;

* fruits high in sugar - watermelons, dates and other dried
fruits.

Medium GI foods include:

* most types of pasta;

* rice;

* some fruits like mangos, apricots and raisins;

* some vegetables like baked beans.

Low GI foods include:

* most fruits and vegetables;

* legumes;

* cereals that are high in fibers but low on sugar;

* dairy products like low fat plain yogurt, whole, low fat or
skimmed milk; * whole grain breads.

The Low GI Diet

The low GI diet focuses on changing eating habits so that the
majority of the foods consumed are from the low GI food group.
These foods take longer to break down into glucose in the body.
This does two basic things:

* Produces a more even level of glucose throughout the day to
avoid those high glucose times followed by the low glucose
slumps.

* Stops cravings and hunger from occurring as much.

When these two components combine, they allow the dieter to eat
a balanced meal and not experience the “energy slumps”. The
whole grains and unprocessed foods take more time for the body
to convert to glucose and keep the feeling of being full for
longer. It also prevents those cravings which tend to cause
overeating or consuming foods that are not on the eating plan.

However, the diet should not rely exclusively on the glycemic
index as low GI foods aren’t necessarily healthy. Foods should
be chosen based on their overall nutritional value. The glycemic
index is influenced by a sum of factors like: the nutrient
content of the foods, the extent to which they are processed,
the cooking method, food combination or ripeness in the case of
fruits and vegetables.

Products that are high in fat have a low GI as they don’t break
down as easily as the ones high in carbs. That doesn’t mean you
should choose to eat high fat foods in order to stick to the
index. As an example, whole milk is ranked lower than the fat
free or low fat one.

The glycemic index doesn’t rank foods that do not contain
carbohydrates, like fresh meat, chicken, fish, eggs and cheese.
However, it includes processed foods that include meat and diary
products. For a healthy low GI diet you should choose lean or
low-fat meats that have been trimmed of visible fat, skinless
poultry, fish and low-fat dairy products, even though they
aren’t ranked.

The nutrient content is also very important. Between dates or
watermelon and a bag of crisps the obvious choice is the fruit
even though the watermelon is considered high GI because of the
sugar content and the crips are considered low GI as they are
high in fat and slow down the absorbtion process.

It is also important to remember that the glycemic index ranks
invidual foods only, not whole meals. Depending on how the foods
are combined, the overall GI value of the meal can change and
cannot be measured accurately, but the main idea is that
including low GI foods in your meal will result in lower GI
value overall. The low GI diet does not lead to rapid
weight loss; rather it results in a steady and constant decrease
in body weight. The individuals who use this plan find that they
have more energy and therefore are more likely to exercise.

So is the low GI plan a diet or a lifestyle? Most experts agree
that it is a diet plan that leads to changes and becomes a
lifestyle. Eating low GI foods just makes good sense for weight
control and maintenance, energy levels and healthy eating.

Build & Unite Black Media Forums Toward Racial Understanding

In the ’60’s, when I was a child, I looked optimistically forward to the day when we would all be judged “by the content of our character,” and not by the “color of our skin.” That day has not yet come. We Black folk, as a people, are still not treated as equals in this society. This neglect is an una manera de la vida - a way of life. It is still knit into the very fabric of the heart of America.

I don’t believe racial negligence is always overt and intentional. I believe it is oftentimes a by-product of what is subconsciously natural. Bear with me… People are naturally more comfortable around those who are most like them. Oftentimes, what we don’t understand, we reject. If Blacks were in power, I believe Whites would have many of the same problems with us we now endure from hem. They are no worse than us - but certainly no better, either. Therefore, in order for equality and acceptance to increase, understanding must increase. It is incumbent upon US, then, to make our voices heard. As we diligently push for an equal place in this world, we help the majority culture understand us, and what we expect. We must let them know we desire, deserve, and demand the same respect as everyone else… and then we must let them know again - until they truly understand. Our opinions, ideas, and concerns have been silent too long. We speak among ourselves in raised voices, but in public in hushed tones. We have been disjointed and unfocused too long. Have we any idea the power of our collective voice? Do we recognize the great wisdom we possess? (Do we realize how much MONEY we have!?) Do we know it is through a constant and united display of peaceful, but eloquent force that we make our position on equality understood?

Some of us understand these concepts, but most of us don’t know what the proper course of action is.

Towards this and other ends, we should create more media forums. In these places - print, television, internet, and radio mediums, we can build more of a gathering place for our ideas and information. In these forums we can learn and unite, If we build more united media blocks, we can help the African American community understand itself, so we all can properly help other men understand us.

The resultant effect, then, will certainly help make that great dream of our childhood more of a reality for our children, and our children’s children.

Pray for and think of ways YOU can help implement this approach. -BKB

What ‘Till Death Do Us Part’ REALLY Means - Divine Source through Barbara Rose

Let me address this issue of eternity, this promise many couples demand of each other and recite in standard wedding vows. Taken literally, this promise is broken more than it is kept. But “Till death do us part” can be interpreted differently.

In this phrase, “death” does not need to mean the end of physical life. It can mean the end of the couple’s purpose for being together; once the purpose is fulfilled, the union no longer needs to continue.

Now that I have just shocked and mortified the majority of the human race, please allow me to explain further so you can have a clearer and deeper understanding.

When two people meet and grow in love, the purpose of their meeting is to help each other in a certain area, on a certain level of their lives. Now, I shall go into this in more detail in Chapter 4, Soul Mates. But here, I am not speaking of soul mates; I am speaking of those couples who find themselves in divorce court even though they once promised to be together for the remainder of their lives.

Of course there is nothing wrong with traditional marriage. It is a lovely concept. With all of the single parents in society today, however, this idea of “till death do us part” needs clarification.

How could you possibly promise something about a time that is decades away? How could you possibly be so sure that you and your partner will continue to grow together for the remainder of your lives and not grow apart? Why would you promise something you might not be able to fulfill?

Two people meet for a particular reason, a reason related to emotional growth or lessons to be learned to foster that growth so that they can become all they are meant to be, become who they really are, as opposed to their false perceptions of self.

Think about your own relationships or marriages. Was there one in which you felt so in love at first? And did you discover after a while that that particular partner had provided you with an opportunity for personal growth - an opportunity to awaken those aspects that had been dormant within you? And after you grew, did you still want that same person to remain as your partner?

Judging from the statistics on divorce in this country, my guess is that about half of the people reading this would answer “no.” Someone entered your life; as a result of that relationship, you grew to be more of who you really are. When the relationship fulfilled its purpose, you no longer felt the need to remain together, so you went your separate ways.

But in many cases, two people are meant to share the remainder of their lives together; those are the couples who are still happily married decades later, and this is perfectly fine as well.

So, it is not that marriage is right or wrong, good or bad. It is a wonderful thing to be with one person for as long as the relationship is of mutual benefit, to help each other grow, to explore life, to engage your minds in new areas. But to remain together because of some recited obligation, long after you do not fit into each other’s life, long after you have stopped growing and have no common purpose - that is the same as signing a contract with an employer stating, “I will work here, in this job, until death do us part. And no matter how my interests or life goals change, no matter how dissatisfied I am with this job, no matter how many other areas of my life I could fulfill if I were to have a different job, I will still stay with you as long as I live.”

Does this make any sense at all? Of course not! Yet that is what couples do when they promise to remain together for the remainder of their lives. This is a ridiculous promise. In many cases it cannot and should not be fulfilled; in other cases it is wonderfully fulfilled.

Instead of promising to remain together forever, why not agree that you will be committed to each other as long as you can truly grow together, be there for each other, support each other’s individual growth, be a true friend to each other, and as long as your union serves your highest good in all areas. Agree that if you grow apart, if your goals, perspectives, lifestyles, desires, purpose, interests, or intellectual and spiritual growth takes you each on a different path, then you will honor the other’s path just as you honor your own. And you will separate for the good of both of you.

You deserve a partner who is truly your friend. Why should you sacrifice your entire life to remain with someone who deadens your senses rather than encouraging all of your senses to come alive? Just because you made a promise at an altar does not mean you have to keep that promise at the cost of your individual growth, self-worth, self-respect, and self-esteem, or your potential, goals, dreams, aspirations, and life purpose.

Marriage can be a wonderful thing; there is nothing intrinsically right or wrong with it. But - and this is a very large but - it is meant to last only as long as the purpose of both partners can be fulfilled. When that purpose - whether it be personal growth, having children, creating something together, learning how to relate - has run its course and the two parties truly become like strangers, it is time to part ways.

Now, this does not mean that when a couple experiences difficult times they should separate. No. Not at all. For to grow to understand, to reach beyond your comfort zone and grow to be your very best, both as an individual and as a couple takes work.

Rocky times are a challenge to be acknowledged, worked through, and resolved so you can experience deeper friendship, greater understanding, happier times, and higher levels of life experience together.

Do not think I am saying, “Oh, we disagree, so it’s divorce time.” No, absolutely not. What I am saying is that if you do not even recognize the person you are married to anymore, if both of you truly have grown and changed in so many areas, on so many levels that you share nothing in common anymore besides a mailing address, that is when the marriage has come to its natural finish. That is when it is time to part ways and to thank the other person for teaching you so much, for helping you grow to be more of who you really are. Throughout a separation and divorce you can display respect and gratitude for all you have learned and shared, and especially for all you have grown.

Honor your feelings. Trust your perceptions. Reach beyond your own desires to understand what the other is trying to communicate. Listen to their words, watch their actions, trust the feelings you pick up from them, and say it all out loud. Do not hold back. Be honest. Your pride is not as important as your personal truth, integrity, and happiness.

For if you place your pride above your personal truth, and you withhold your truth, you will find that you are ultimately alone, without the one you love and even without the love and support of your self. Holding back the real truth leads only to regret.

When you share your truth, even at the expense of your pride, at least you know you did your all. At least you do not live with regret.

Remember always and in all ways: Be true to yourself; be true to the other; dare to say how you feel; dare to express what you think; and dare to live, thrive, and grow, either alone or together. Either way, your desire to be all you can be, can be fulfilled only by honoring your truth and finding the love within to share that truth until death do you part from this life.
